For my portrait presentations I tried different function settings on the camera. My favorite setting to use was the color accent. I used this setting when I took a picture of my cat to capture the color of his eyes more. I also used it on the picture I took of Kelsey to get just the blue color of her shirt to show up. Another setting I thought was neat was the fish eye effect. I used this one for the group photo because it’s a fun, less serious setting and the group I took a photo of was playing in the gym so I thought it set a good mood. Add Comment For my photos I drew and cut out a fairy. I took a few photos in the green house and chose the one I thought was best which was the fairy sitting on a flower. I then adjusted to color balance a little on photoshop to make the colors of the flowers pop more. I also placed the fairy on the cage around the exit sign. I liked the way this one turned out because the way one wing was in front and the other wing was behind a bar gave it more depth. I chose not to mess with anything on this photo really other than cropping it a little. For my last picture I set the fairy in a window sill. The lighting gave it a calmer mood and the angle I took the picture gave it more depth. I chose not to edit this one on photoshop. Spinning Portal Love is in the air Clash The photos I took were all using a blue flashlight with the lights off. The first one I called spinning and I created it by doing just that. I set the self timer on the camera and held the blue flashlight and just spun around. The camera captured the light, but not me. The next photo I took I got by setting my camera up and moving the flashlight in a spiral motion. This gave it the appearance of a portal. My picture titled love is in the air was created by, in a way, drawing in the air. I took the flash light and moved it in a heart shaped motion multiple times, giving it the appearance of a heart. Clash is the title of my last picture. This time I used my blue flash light, and a red light. The red light overtook most of the blue, but the colors just clashed together. Routine Life can sometimes feel like all it is, is the same routine day after day. That is the theme of the photos I took. The first one I took, titled Routine, was taken in a way that only red shows up. This is because sometimes if you feel caught up in a routine, life starts to lose its color. I chose to use a toothbrush, toothpaste and a retainer because they are used every day. The next picture I took I titled Damaged. It is a picture of a collection of old band aid containers and other medical things. The reason I titled it damaged is because life is not perfect and you will have to go through things that aren’t easy, then you just have to cover it up and not let it get to you. The picture titled lifeline is a picture of mini clothes that were crocheted and hung on a line. I called it lifeline because, like the clothes being crocheted, sometimes life makes you feel like you didn’t get to choose who or what to be, you aren’t always accepted for who you are. Sometimes you feel like you are just hanging on a line. |
